BABY’S FIRST BIRTHDAY CAKE

First birthday sessions are always SO. MUCH. FUN! Being able to photograph these adorable little ones wearing the most darling outfits in the simplicity of my natural light studio is amazing. But let’s be honest. It’s really all about the cake, right? Watching a baby experience cake for the first time is always a treat. Sometimes they are really unsure about it. Some babies need a little coaxing to just touch it with a finger. And sometimes they go face first into it because it’s so delicious!!! Regardless of their response, it’s always so cute and such a great milestone to capture. The anticipation of how your baby will react is half the fun.

Watching sweet Nella with her cake was the cutest thing ever. She started off slow but once she realized how much she liked it, she was going back for handful after handful. And she’s such a sweetheart that she even kept offering to share with her family! Fortunately for them, she only dug her precious hands into one small side of the beautiful cake so her family was able to take it home and enjoy some for themselves!
