Lennox’s Lucky Day | 3 Generations Newborn

WHAT MEANS THE MOST

If you’ve ever been to my home you know how important family photos are to me. My stairwell is one of my favorite places because it is lined with generations of family portraits. Grandparents and great-grandparents’ wedding portraits nestle between 1970’s and 80’s tinted images of my husband and I with our siblings from a JC Penney Portrait Studio. Snapshots from family vacations and little league games. Nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters and of course, my babies. I fill my walls with images of what means the most so that my children grow up with a constant reminder of how important our family is and that they are an integral part of it.

I absolutely love when new my clients invite grandparents to the studio to be a part of the session with the new baby. Sometimes they stop in for 20 minutes of the session and sometimes they stay to help the entire time but either way, they get to be in what will undoubtedly be some of the most important images for their grandchildren. It is such a special gift to give your family beautiful portraiture of the most important people in your lives. I’ll always cherish the few prints and Polaroids I have of myself with my grandparents but I’m so proud that I can give my tiniest clients these works of art.

It was such a special thing to see this beautiful family include baby Lennox’s grandparents in their session. I love that I was able to give them such gorgeous images of three generations together during this fleeting time in their lives and I had so much fun getting to know such wonderful people. As the years go on, I know these images will become more and more important to their family and will serve as a lasting reminder of what means the most to them.
